Watch A Butterfly Emerge
The Kapp and Kappy grounds have plenty of food, water and shelter for a variety of types of butterflies. You may see monarchs, queens, swallowtails, sulfurs, and more. Gulf Fritillary caterpillars and butterflies are usually superabundant.
Some times of the year - the side of the house on Verona Street becomes a butterfly chrysalis "nursery" for the Fritillaries since they have an affinity for the old-style siding on the house.
Polydamas Swallowtails frequent the back fence that is covered with Pipevine just for them.
“I was fortunate to be able to stay at Kapp and Kappy in the Verona Room and had a great time.. The house is quite comfortable in both the common areas and up in the room. Both Christi and Tom were very inviting and willing to chat or leave you alone. I would definitely look to stay here again if my travels bring me back through the area. Thanks again for having me at your wonderful B&B - M. Brocchi”
