Overall very nice campground, bathrooms and showers very clean and maintained. The lake is stunning but there is no view from the RV camp area, and also zero shade with a handful of small trees. The ground squirrels are a bit of nuisance, but they are cute to watch and drove my dog and crazy. My stay started mid-week, and wonderfully quiet and peaceful, Friday morning that changed as the campground filled up for the weekend. Very loud groups of campers enjoying their wknd, not normally an issue for me, but as there is zero privacy and sitting out in the middle of the inner loop, I had several campers walking through my site and just overall being loud and somewhat inconvenient. Still, I'd definitely stay here again, but might consider going down to the lower dry camping area, which has significantly more trees and the sites feel a little less "open". And also better views of the lake.

Absolutely beautiful by the lake and surrounded by trees and natural first. $41-$55 Hot showers and toilets modern and clean. After all the weekend campers left lots of deer and wildlife started to roam the campsite. Road might be tricky for big rigs. Wifi was good but my cel didn't work. Close to town but you feel like youre middle of nowhere. May weather was perfect. Staff very nice.

So close to the suburbs, yet so remote. Wild pigs, wild turkeys, beautiful scenery, great hiking. Lake close by within walking distance. Facilities clean and updated. Free hot showers. Sites level and paved with nice grass in between sites. No cell service but we did not mind disconnecting for awhile. Great value at $30 per night. We would definitely come here again.

As others noted, nice in winter. Access road (Roop Rd) is very narrow and 3 miles long. Some sites have water and electric, not all sites are level. All in all, a nice park , particularly if you have a smaller rig.

Our favorite county park, Nov-March, during the week (not weekends). It has wonderful hiking and biking trails through rolling hills with lots of wildlife. Minimal cell service, the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars, but if you came up here to chill and relax, who needs the screen!

Hot, sparse, narrow and windy and not well marked road, decent spaces, 0% cell.
