The campground is shaded and has a gravel roadway. The 80 something yo lady who owns it is trying to sell it following the death of her husband. The office isn't what we judge a CG for. There are so few places to stay near Omaha, don't rule this one out. There are no amenities. However, it is quiet and peaceful. And the squirrels here are black!

The office was dark and dingy looking. I counted 4 yipping chihuahuas.inside. We had called the day before and were told they didn't have any pull throughs, you had to pay for full service and they don't take reservations. There weren't any facilities available. Upon arrival the woman answering the night phone couldn't have been less friendly. She said if her man was still there we might be able to get a spot. The sites were graveled and very muddy the night we spent at Tomes.
One sign in the office widow stated:
IF YOU THINK
YOU HAVE
RESERVATIONS
YOU ARE IN
THE WRONG PLACE
The other sign said:
PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE
According to the Customer's
ATTITUDE
All in all a bit too seedy and creepy for our taste.

Nice and quiet with large shade trees. Here in 5/14/17 and no reservations required. Lots of open space. Dog friendly, but be aware there are several squirrels and bunnies living in the park. Parking is on the grass and easy to get around on.
Nice to be able to camp and not have to listen to freeway traffic.

I think it's a nice, well kept little park. It has lots of trees, large level lots (at least mine was level), clean, 30 and 50 amp hookups, water sewer, no messy or junky RVs. No showers or toilets, but I never use them anyway. Very convenient short drive to variety of restaurants, downtown, gas stations and interstates.
