We have stayed here ever year since 2020. Except for the road noise this is a beautiful city park. Area around lake is mowed for easy access to fishing off the bank or hiking around it. Great for kayaking as well. Campground has 30 full hook up back in sites that can accommodate up to 45 foot campers plus your vehicle. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates available. On site campground manager can be found in site 1.

This is our hometown campground and we have camped here at least a month every year since 2020. When I saw the last review was a poor one from 2019 I just had to let you know this is a wonderful little campground. There are 30 sites with 50 amp FHU. There are no pull through sites but can accommodate some pretty big rigs. There are two downsides. It is right next to a major highway that is fairly busy during the day. It does quiet down quite a bit after 9 pm. Also there is a train track that runs along the south end of the park. Good place to close the windows and run some white noise inside. But the little lake is beautiful. A lot of local people come out to fish or to watch the sunset. $45/day $145/week $475/month Primitive tent camping $15/day They do have a small two unit mens/womens shower house with toilet and sink that accommodates one at a time. Open April 1 - October 31. You can reach the campground manager by calling (309) 221-5131 or Monmouth City Hall at (309) 734-2141

We have stayed here twice but this time host accused us of backing into water sticker then leaving and hiding the camper!! We did not hit this and we left campground and parked our camper at a relatives private lot because my hubby got a job which took us out of state and no campground to our new location which I explained this all to the host before we left. Plus the city wants to charge us $600 to fix the problem any they are shady people I wouldn't recommend to stay there u may get blamed for something!!

Full hookups at all the sights, nice! Traffic noise is atrocious! Earplugs are a must unless you prefer being awakened by 18 wheelers , Harley’s and every other dual exhaust lead foot driven vehicle! I was told when I booked my stay that traffic noise was not an issue. Absolutely not the case!

If you like small, quaint, quiet campgrounds, this Is the one for you. We stay here every summer for about a week while in town visiting family.

Don't expect much, as there is no campground store or other amenities. There is public fishing as well as a city pool right next to the campground, and a small convenient store with gas within 1/2 mile.

There is also a steakhouse called Cerars Barnstormer nearby. If you do nothing else, you must eat there.
