I forgot to mention that the bathrooms had flushing toilets and were clean. The showers were not clean and kind of gross.

The park itself is very beautiful. The signage to the campground was inadequate, some of the worst we have ever seen. The signs only said primitive camping, but never RV camping or the name of the campground until you come right to the turn. There is a lot of up and down hill getting in and out of the campground. All the activities were shut down during the week probably because we were here in September. We stayed in Turkey Creek Campground, because it was first come, first serve and that’s what we wanted. The RV pads are asphalt and pretty level. Many of the sites had un level places where the tables were. I give it a 4star rating for two reasons. 1- The poor signage telling where the campgrounds were. 2- The website said nightly fee was 30.00, but then you have to pay an additional daily park fee of 7.00 for Nebraska residence or 14.00 for out of state. I felt that was very deceiving. I would possibly camp there again but would pick the riverfront camping, which had no one except camp host in it, but is by reservation only as well as Oak Bluff which is beyond Turkey Creek CG.

One of the most beautiful state parks we have ever seen!
Park has been recently updated with new 4 bedroom rental cottages and education center.
Campsites are level and well maintained.
We stayed on site 16 in Turkey Ridge loop.
Would definitely stay here again, a hidden gem!
