Roadside Stop # 10, also called Lawrence E Woods Picnic area. 5 excellent sites with tables and grills; trees and shade throughout the area. Well off the road that has little traffic. Parking area at east end for Madera Canyon Trail, a 2.4 mi loop trail up to the peak and overlook. 8 miles to McDonald Observatory, with tours and Fri/Sat night Star Parties.
