Road from I10 down to Fort Davis there are 2 picnic areas marked on Allstays. This is the one we stopped overnight in I think. It is just after Wild Rose pass going South after you have gone downhill on your right. Large place and if you reverse back at the entance you are well away from anyone else stopping. Rubbish bins and even a fire pit! The next picnic place before Fort Davis is not suitable. After Alphine there is one very good pull off on the left with lots of trees for shade and 100m off the road out of view at the back.
