Large campground with small, semi-private sites (stayed in B8), on beach, clean bathrooms, no hot water, not showers, no dogs on trails, but beach ok. Near Kalaloch lodge and restaurant - walking distance. NP campground, doesn't seem as friendly as state and county parks. Most people just here for 1-2 nights, just passing through. Wooded and dark, not much sunlight coming through the trees.
Stayed 9/15/2021 in 18' campervan

We travel in a 26.5 feet class C, we like state parks for the “camping†vibe and Kalaloch was perfect. Due to our size, we were limited to about 8 Oceanside spots that were taken when we arrived on a Thursday in November. Ended up in A-51 that was a perfect size, felt like you were in the forest and you can hear the waves at night. Some road noise but not bad. The A loop (southernmost) has 1-2 bars of t-Mobile consistently while the registration area and D loops, etc to the north had zero reception, if this matters to you

5/19 - We were on the A loop and our site was on the bluff overlooking the ocean but with just enough vegetation to break the wind. Perfect! The sites are very private and beach access is good. Beautiful well maintained park.

4/30 Kaloloch beach:
We went here because it was voted one of the top 10 beach campground in the nation and I agree. Go to the D loop and try to get a site looking out over the ocean. We also took a walk over the beach. It was amazing. Highly recommend this campground. The dumpstation is free if you pay for camping.

I consider this park part of the rainforest in this area. Had a nice view of the ocean and saw two whales on their way back north. This is a National Park Campground and it’s way overpriced for what you get. Nice paved roads and sites but no utilities. They charge $22.00 for a site plus another $10.00 to use the dump station. Nice location but what a ripoff for we taxpayers. Overpriced.

Beautiful beach and great campground. Limited spots for large RV's. We were in site D27 which fit our 31.5ft TT with truck parked parallel to it. This site is oceanfront, close to restroom/water,close to steps to the beach, blackberry bushes surround the campfire area. Site D24 would be the premo site in this loop and would accommodate our size trailer but loved our site too. Lots of gray whale activity and also saw sea otters.

We stayed in A39. Extremely tight fit for our 23' Airstream. Choose your site carefully. Many are too small for RV or trailers. Park itself is gorgeous. 3 bars of AT&T at our site.

Beautiful location, one of the best! No hookups, but worth the stay. Hosts were nice. Great whale watching and great for sunsets. Facilities were less than desirable! Dirty, men's restroom ran out of toilet paper with a line of men waiting. Single toilet which causes long lines. Other than this later criticism, would have given 5 stars

First part of the review will only be applicable for a couple of weeks. The hosts there now are awesome! We pulled in on a wing and a prayer after 6pm on Saturday the weekend before Labor Day weekend without a reservation. They waved us over past the "campground full" sign & let us ask a few questions about where we might be able to stay nearby for the night. They smiled and told us there was a last minute cancellation so we could stay here. Prayers answered! We didn't get their names, but if you ever see a sweet couple hosting while living in a little tear drop home-made "woody", introduce yourself. They are great!
Beautiful campground (exceptionally clean) with various site sizes. We stayed in A loop & wiggled an 18ft TT in as well as our truck. 1-2 bars verizon service. No showers, but clean functioning flush toilets are here.
Saw whales at sunset and was told there were sea otters nearby. We will be back :-)

We loved this campground, we were lucky to find a site that our 37' class A. No hookups but the beach is so beautiful and the sound of the ocean makes it worth every minute. We were in E12
