Called for a reservation and owner said they are closed. They retired.

Sigh...we’ve been on the road for three weeks. Have spent time in 9 different campgrounds. This one was the worst. Very narrow sites. Overpriced. A lot of deferred maintenance. Literally a 4 foot strip. Check in was easy, they accepted cash only. Friendly desk help. It’s only for one night, but I stayed in a beautiful campground last night for less money. Not much ambiance at all.

Overpriced. $37.50 (July 2018). Dumpster overflowing. Sites have limited separation. The neighbors slide and sewer hose were too close to our picnic table. More seasonal or long term than tourists. But, if you want a 90 ft pull through for your 42 ft rig and trailer, then you will like this place.

We stopped to ask if we could dump tanks. Happy to pay for that service but they said no and then we took less than 10 min to check to see why pilot light was not lighting on water heater and they came out and indicated they would like us out of there. Claimed we were blocking the way if someone wanted to come or go but there was plenty of room. Office was not clean and smelled of mold. Not sure about the rest.

We have a 45 ft motorhome with a 23 foot trailer pulling our vehicle. Accessibility is always a top priority for us. This is followed in order by the beauty of the surroundings and overall cleanliness of grounds and buildings, helpfulness of staff, full hook up with 50 amp service, spaciousness of the lot, and lastly the governance of the campground itself. Big cedar exceeded our expectations from an accessibility standpoint. We easily pulled into our site and did not have to unhook our trailer! Access from the road was easy as well. The venue provided 50 amp service with both sewer and water. There was also a nice playground, pool with a pavilion if you were having a large group meet here. The office area was messy and ill kept. The campground hostess was helpful and pleasant. Would come back again.

We stopped at this campground while passing through on our way west.
We are in a 36 foot MH trailering.
The owner is friendly, and we noticed beer on tap at the bar, which is also the office.
The pool looked inviting.
Campground is clean, well maintained and there is no cable. Our site was mostly level and accomodated our total 52 feet length.
Lots of space for a long walk with the dog.
Great for a stop over or if you want to stay in the Duluth area.

This campground records having wifi which it does if you want to go to the office during the hours that it is open. Not much help.
