Love this place. A word of advice — don’t come in after dark and try to set up. I did some minor damage to my Fleetwood Discovery trying to find a site in the dark. A neighbor was nice to help me out and finally found a site that was fairly level. Verizon signal was decent. I was able to FaceTime several times — not perfect but good.

We were here in early March. After a short hike on the nearby Pictograph trail, we decided to boon dock it in this free primitive area (not to be confused with the nearby paid campground). While the roads in this area left a lot to be desired, it was easy to find a relatively private area to park our 20 foot camper van close to the base of the mountain ridge. We had zero road noise nor noise from the nearest other campers (about 100 yards away). Despite the seclusion and isolation, we had a good Verizon signal and were able to surf the night away.
