Marvellous city park on the North Platte River. It is shaded, clean and beautifully maintained. The officials are friendly. Water, dump, bathrooms with showers are available.

Nice little municipal park in central Douglas, Wyoming, where one can camp for free!
Grassy areas with picnic tables, shower house is old but clean.
Situated along a river and one of the main drags in town, but traffic dies down at night.
Would stay here again!

Very nice quiet park. Ample room for a big rig once in the park. However two warnings for big rig drivers:
First - take the first entry not the second. Lots of cars parked at second entrance severely narrowing entry and it is a steeper dip there.
Second: if coming from the north do not follow google map direction without confirming route thru town. We were directed to a 11ft clearance underpass. Had to drop tow and back out.
Otherwise lovely stay.!!

Stopped here for lunch. Great shade, peaceful. Just left Railroad Interpretive Center short distance toward old town Douglas. Toured dining car(expected to see Cary Grant at table), old sleeping car and 1884 passenger car. Worth visiting. Free. It s also great info center.
Sit in shade at sunset near on river with
nice glass of vino! Oh yea!

A delightful little gem that beats an overnight stay in a Walmart parking lot. They have hot showers, water available to fill your fresh water tank, and barbecues with picnic tables. There is a maximum 2 night stay and it's free! It is close to town so restaurants and other items are easily accessible. There's even a river to walk along. If you need to stop over on a trip somewhere, this is well worth the stop.
