Fairly level sites, not too close together. Roads could use repair. However, staff was friendly. Was easy off and on the highway. Diesel fill up close as we left. Big plus was they just opened a brewery at the entrance. Really good local beers!

Good points: close to freeway and Malpais visitor center. EZ access. Level sites, some pull through. Shade trees. About a third of the park are long term residence. Pet friendly. Cheap
Cons: A bit run down, Wifi only worked one night. Bathrooms not cleaned, only 1/3 of the bathroom facilities worked.
But we liked the place. We stayed in a 40 ft Rv with a tow jeep. We saw other rigs pull in and leave. We almost left, but are glad we didn't. We stayed 3 nights exploring the beautiful countryside. Lots of nice places to walk out dog and close to Walmart.

Gravel pull throughs. Not fancy but all the hookups for a quick refresh. WM right across the freeway
