For Rest Stop: This is a nice rest area that appears to be little used by cars, but heavily used by commercial trucks. The reason appears to be that it is very poorly signed in advance and so is difficult to even access unless you have looked at an aerial map view in advance and carefully pre-planned your vehicle approach. The exit to this rest area is very abrupt and short. To reach it you must enter and cross through an on-ramp lane that often has heavy truck traffic. The truckers appear to know about this rest area because the area’s truck parking lot is heavily used, while the passenger car area is little used. If you miss the entrance, drive east about 1 mile to the exit just east of the nearby westbound rest area, cross the overpass and take the westbound highway the short distance to the westbound rest area. From that area, getting back to the eastbound highway is just as easy.
