For Talkeetna Boat Launch and Campground: Although there are no amenities such as water, restrooms, electric or sewer, we really enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of room and we could walk downtown to enjoy the town. We were able to camp close to the river. We did get some noisy neighbors, along with generators, but for the most part, it was quiet. The other campground was full, so we were happy to get a place to stay on a weekend!
We did get temporarily lost using our gps, but some nice guy showed us where to go.
We paid $25 per night for dry camping, great site with picnic table.

For Talkeetna Boat Launch and Campground: We were very disappointed. There are some sites that are campsites, but then it becomes chaos. If you can find a place to park that’s your spot. When we were there it was overly crowded and very noisy. ATVs were zipping around late into the evening. There was also loud music and voices well into the “night†with little consideration for folks who go to bed at a reasonable hour (10:00 pm). Then about 4:30 am somebody was running a generator.
Additionally, the vault toilets were in poor condition. The ones near the boat launch were better, but there was no toilet paper in the Ladies side while the men’s side had lots.

For Talkeetna Boat Launch and Campground: You will get fairly private sites with picnic tables and a fire ring at each. There is no water, electric, or dump at any site. You can walk to town, or to the airport. BTW the cemetery at the corner by the airport has a memorial with a list by year, of the names of everyone who has died on Denali. You should check it out.

For Talkeetna Boat Launch and Campground: If you don't mind (or prefer) a dry camping place out of the way yet just a 5 minute walk to town this is the place in Talkeetna. It's not fancy but the hosts are top notch and very accommodating. The sites in the woods are fairly private or you can choose to park on the gravel lot down by the river. For me this was a perfect spot and the service and support by the hosts just added to the experience! Good for tents trailers and motor homes. The longer trailers and motor homes have limited choices
