For Stop N Rest RV Park: As with the review from Peter, I had a similar experience. I stayed for several months and paid faithfully every week. When it came time for me to leave, I cleaned and scrubbed the RV he rented me for 2 hours and gave him a week notice. However, the landlord/owner Bob never returned my deposit to the address I provided. and ignored my attempt to contact him about it. I even donated 3 lamps to the unit so the next renter would have light as none of the light fixtures worked. It is really disheartening to have this kind of experience when you do all the right things and are still cheated. This man is dishonest and lacks integrity!! I asked for my deposit as cash in person but he will tell you that he only mails them after you leave. So BEWARE of this when you give him your deposit money! During my time there, I experienced roaches and a rat that would continually wake me up every night scavenging. Despite all this, I never complained and dealt with it on my own. When my parents came down to visit, I paid for a week stay for them but actually overpaid by mistake as there was only the two of them. Of course he kept the money. As other reviewers have stated, most of the residents are permanent and there's one couple that are extremely nosy and will be all up in your business! The area is quiet and mostly peaceful, except when they harbor noisy newcomers just to make a quick buck. I wasn't there 2 weeks before the landlord had to evict one of the RV trailers as the occupants were cooking Meth! My sister is also a local cop and she warned that there were 2 people stabbed nearby. Again, it's disheartening when you have an individual that cannot run a decent and honest business and keeps your Deposit money. Very shady. Beware!!
