For Merrisach Lake: Stay on the Tichnor Blacktop Road, Garmin will try to send you down a barely gravel road. Great hot shower, loved the barges. Will stay longer next time, would love to see Arkansas Post.

For Merrisach Lake: I stayed in site D-9 for two weeks ending November 29, 2020 in a truck camper with three kayaks. On the Arkansas Post and Lake Merrisach close to where the Arkansas and White Rivers empty into the Mississippi. I paddled the White, Mississippi and the lake, very enjoyable. Near a large wildlife reserve so campground about 50% filled mainly with hunters. Inexpensive with senior pass. Rest room showers clean. Sites have water and electric, park will maintained with asphalt drive ways.. Most sites spacious with good water views. Easy to get satellite with dish and Verizon was strong enough for good internet. One of my favorite campground s on the way south. Site is 30 or so miles from biggest town Dumas which has an excellent Mexican restaurant - El Torro. My only disappoint was that I was only able to find one crocodile in the lake generally I see a few. Maybe next time!!

For Merrisach Lake: Nice camp ground on the Arkansas River.
We stayed in the B loop to be close to the playground for the kids but D loop is the nicest. Campsite was clean. If you stay somewhere other than the D loop you will need 50 to 75 feet of water hose. I did not see any sites with sewer hookups. Our pad was almost completely level.

We will definitely be going back.
