For Shadow Ridge RV Resort: Tucked beside some hills, we stayed at this little RV park quite by accident. We were planning on going to Organ Pipe but the border patrol had blocked the road due to some “activity“. We were three women traveling in three separate cars and yet were allowed to park in one campsite and only be charged $15 for the night since we were not using hook ups. The lady in charge of the RV park was so gracious to let us do so. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean! Yes it would’ve been nice to of had a pool if we were staying longer but this is one of the nicer RV Parks that I have seen.

For Shadow Ridge RV Resort: If you’re going to Organ Pipe Cactus NM and want hookups, this place is your best option. Great people, very clean. Located well so you can walk to 2 decent restaurants and a fantastic1woman bakery. Lots of community art to see. Downside;spaces are not level, people that live there get up early to go to work, strong sewer smell intermittently and there were flies that kept us from sitting outside at times.
If you go, make sure you stop at the seafood market in Why. Amazing shrimp and fish from Sea of Cortez.

For Shadow Ridge RV Resort: Nice place, friendly staff. WiFi is a little spotty but works most of the time. Showers and rest rooms are clean.

For Shadow Ridge RV Resort: Other reviews are fairly accurate. The one thing they don't mention was the office staff were pretty darned nice and helpful. The folks staying here seemed a bit unfriendly, mostly sticking to their own groups, and not that welcoming as we have seen in other parks. Yes, this place could certainly use a pool given the warm weather. The sites are a bit close together and we were more than ready to go when our reservation was up. If we come back this way, we will stay at the campground in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
The town of Ajo is cute but not much going on. It is worth about a 2 day stay. We stayed two days too long....

For Shadow Ridge RV Resort: There is STILL no pool! There was one once but it fell apart and was never replaced. Grounds are pretty much gravel and only cleaned up once in a while. I took our dog for a walk on the very limited "grassy" area and then spent an hour picking the thorns and spiky little things out of her feet. The older clubhouse is o.k. but the newer, very nice one is almost restricted to the "permanent" residents. We went down to watch a TV program and were quite literally kicked out by the key keeper at 9 pm! It is worth the little extra drive over to Benson to find a better camp ground where they actually want to please you.

For Shadow Ridge RV Resort: Sites are narrow in the first level. IF you go up higher, the sites are bigger, more wide. Wifi worked well.
