For Lost Dutchman State Park: Came to this State Park after visiting a variety of State and County Campgrounds in the area. We camped here in early March 2019, and some of the weather was wet, cold and windy, but the rest was sunny and beautiful. The surrounding area provides hiking opportunities from easy to strenuous. The camp sites vary a bit from each of the loops, and if you have a bigger rig, I suggest the sites that have hookups, and book VERY EARLY. If you try to squeeze in a dry site, beware. They can be difficult. We stayed in a 35 foot. Fifth wheel in site 8, And, it was 6in off level (side to side) which was challenging. Other than that: beautiful. Nice private sites, great views, nice birds, and best of all, open spaces. The sites are well spaced in most of the areas, except where you have full or more hookups. We found it easy to get to town and to hang out, and hope to return again. This is a nice park.

For Lost Dutchman State Park: Very nice campground, showers were great. Hiking great. One campground host has the hacked up American flag that is “blue lives matter†this is a racist flag, it’s only purpose is to diminish the black lives matter movement. I expect more from the outdoor community and demand more from park employees.

For Lost Dutchman State Park: I’m struggling with this rating. It is more like 3.5 but I can’t give half stars. I really expected to be wowed because of the reviews but just was not. The location at the base of Superstition is amazing and there are some good hiking trails. The campground seemed very crowded after coming from the very spacious McDowell Mountain campground. And there are only two restroom/shower buildings for the entire campground. Some campsites had almost a .5 mile walk. The campground was packed though and I didn’t have to wait for a shower in the week we were there. The camp hosts do a,great job keeping each site neat and clean. If your into mountain biking you will be disappointed. Only one trail and it was not very good. It’s a great stop to spend a couple days in Superstition mtn and spend a day touring the Apache Trail. I’m glad we stopped but probably won’t return as I think there are better options.

For Lost Dutchman State Park: If location is the only criteria, this campground is the winner. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with the Superstition Mts. As the background. Campground sites in the main campground (sites 1-75) are spacious and private. The other campground has asphalt sites but the are smaller and less private. Shower and toilet facilities are good but too far away from most campsites.a second facility is needed.Trails here are excellent and civilization is only a 10 minute drive away. Restaurants nearby were not the greatest. Overall, a highly recommended campground, particularly for outdoor enthusiasts, but don't expect to find a walk-in site this time of year. We camped in a 25 ft. MotorHome.

For Lost Dutchman State Park: This is a rare five star park. The views and atmosphere is great and the hiking trails are top notch. Paved sites.Verizon LTE two to three bars. I can see why it's so highly rated. I didn't experience the shower house or restrooms.

For Lost Dutchman State Park: This place is so beautiful! This is one of my all time favorite campgrounds. The Superstition Mountains overlook the whole area. Inspiring. Campsites are spaced out nicely so you aren't on top of one another. Price is very reasonable.
The nearby ghost town is really fun to walk through. Lots of history in the area. We will go back here for sure.
They can handle large rigs. Ours is a 39' 5th wheel. Just look at the length descriptions online per site.
