For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: We stayed for a month in October. They offered various Halloween activities on the weekends, and there are lots of kids. The pool area looked nice and clean. We had fun playing putt putt but we had to clean tree debris from the course before playing. To make a reservation, it was very difficult to get in touch with someone by phone so persistence and patience is key. Once there, the staff was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. In front of the office are some flowers and green, green fake grass. Pretty much the only place you’ll see green. They have a security gate but for the life of me I don’t know why. Once you pass through the gate the road is very rough and bumpy. There is a bit of green once you pass through the gate but when you get in the park it is tall weeds with small bits of grass interspersed. It appears disheveled. We never once heard or saw a lawn mower or weed eater. There are an excessive number of speed bumps and 5 mph signs all over the place. Sites are a bit of gravel with dirt, weeds and STICKERS. The tiny gravel and stickers end up everywhere. We couldn’t walk from the car to the RV without picking stickers out of our shoes. Your vehicles with get dirty and remain dirty which gets even worse when it rains. Our site was mostly level and long enough for the 45 foot MH with the car parked to the side. The voltage often dropped to around 114/115. Spacing between sites varies widely with the pull thrus having the most space. There is no privacy. We were in full sun but there are some shady sites. Various sites have a really odd placement so you might want to be particular about which one you are assigned. There are no fire pits but they rent propane ones. They were slowly replacing tired picnic tables with new ones. There are serious connection issues here. The cable did not work; however, satellite was possible in most sites. WiFi was for checking email, no streaming, and we got kicked off regularly. Verizon coverage ranged from 4g 1bar to 5g 3bars and could change in an instant. Hence, our phone hot spots were unstable. All the trash bins are located near the entrance, and all four bins were overflowing every Sunday afternoon. Traffic noise from 17 can be clearly heard even though it’s pretty far away. On a final note, be prepared for lots of ants and mosquitoes. Although the park is convenient for visiting the area, there are too many reasons not to return.

For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: This was a really nice RV park with new office building, clubhouse, pool, weekend activities, laundry facility and very clean, modern 3 point (toilet, shower, sink) restrooms near the office. That being said if you use the facilities near the pool, they are convenient to walk to, if you use the facility near the office, which is where the laundry is located, you would have to drive. It was safe with a gate and lots of grounds staff. The office staff was really nice, professional and efficient, smooth check in. We stayed 3 days in October and paid @ $58/night. No table or bbq provided to our site. We had a roomy end pull thru site with a shade tree, which was nice except for the dirt and in the desert it’s a lot of dust everywhere. They had a huge amount of grounds crew that it would have been nice of them to spray down the road daily to cut down on the dust. Otherwise, the park was nice and quiet.

For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: We love this campground! Amenities are great, restrooms and grounds are immaculate, staff is wonderful. That being said, a lot depends on the site you get. Some are fantastic with shade trees and plenty of privacy, some are not. Pay the extra for the wooded site, you won’t regret it!

For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: We really enjoyed this RV park! It had beautiful trees iand scenery along with large open spaces between each spot. We were hoping to go to another RV park With a similar name that we had read about but we’re so glad that we found this one instead since it was further away from the traffic but yet a very good jumping off spot for many of the locations around the Sedona area. The hot tub and pool were in excellent condition, although the pool was definitely on the cool side. All of the hook ups looked fairly new and the sites were very level. Would definitely come back here again!

For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: We stayed here March of 2021. Overall this was a great place to stay for a month. They did a nice Corn beef and Cabbage meal for St. Patrick’s day, which included green beer and an Irish Whiskey tasting. They also do waffles a few times a week and meet and greets at the clubhouse on Fridays. They are putting a lot of work into landscaping and we watched them give the pool area a facelift. The only things that were a little challenging were the strict 5 mph speed limit and no tent stakes in the ground.

For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: Terrific campground, we've been here twice in 2020. Very level so minimal leveling for our RV. Some sites have beautiful mature trees but those get reserved fast. There are long term residents but everyone is friendly and quiet. This is a family and dog friendly campground where there is a dog run, pool, mini golf and when we were there, fun activities for the kids. Cost is reasonable. Management runs a tight ship, just follow the rules and everyone is happy. We will return!

For Verde River RV Resort and Cottages: We have never left a negative RV park review, but this is an exception. We paid extra for a river view site which was a waste of money. The river could not be seen from our site and we had to hike several hundred yards through river rock to see river. There were no shade trees at our site, even though the pictures on their web page show lots of shade trees. There are so many speed bumps on the roads that there is no way you could speed, but we had one of the employees come knock on our rig to tell us we were driving faster tha the 5 mph speed limit and 5 min later a note on our door telling us that we were speeding even though we never drove over 5mph. We will not return to this park.
