For Estrella Mountain Regional Park: Primitive large open lot ($12) no longer available (as of Jan 22, 2018). No RV camping available even though the entrance sign still says $32 for camping. We were informed by the host at the station that 6 of the 7 sites were taken by hosts. Not sure what all the hosts are hosting if there’s no-one there camping 😊 The best line from the host was, “if there was camping, it would be $32â€. They just need to remove the sign!

The zoo
For Estrella Mountain Regional Park: There are only 5 or 6 full hookup sites, and it seems that they are always reserved, but for $12 you have your choice of a large lot (dry) that generally has only 1 or 2 other campers in it... it is also right next to a huge trail system. You might encounter horse apples in the parking lot....
