For KOA Journey Holbrook: We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins for 2 nights. It was very comfortable and clean. It was convenient to go to the cowboy cookout for dinner the first night because there are not many restaurants nearby. The town of Holbrook seems very run down but there was a nice Safeway for groceries. The KOA was close to Petrified Forest NP, so it was a very nice place to stay if you want to go there.

Ironman and two Pups
For KOA Journey Holbrook: Camped there twice for one night to and from Grand Canyon, seven days apart. To my dismay the dog run poop can was overflowing and the same old moldy pizza box was sitting on the ground adjacent to the poop can.
I informed the office staffer right after my discovery on my second visit and she admitted that property maintenance was lacking. The next morning I informed the manager and he sarcastically replied that he empties the can daily. I informed him that he was not telling the truth.
In addition, I took a shower in the rear shower building and the shower drain was stopped up and water dishes the entire bathroom area.
The office staffer was correct, maintenance and management is lacking.

RambleOn
For KOA Journey Holbrook: Fairly nice RV park with easy access on and off I-40. Obviously, this place serves as an overnight stop for east/west interstate travelers as most arrived in the afternoon and were packing to leave at first light. Smooth and fast check-in. Park is basically a gravel parking lot, minimum space between sites but can accommodate the largest of rigs. Bathhouse was older but very clean and tidy. Laundry was more expensive than most we encounter. Does have a fenced dog run, but if your dog likes longer walks, your stuck to the gravel perimeter. CG Wifi was very slow, rendering it basically useless, so we used our personal hotspot which had 3 bars of solid 4G reception. They do have a nice cowboy BBQ each evening for burgers and the like. Offers military discount, which was very nice (thanks). Served our purpose for a quick stop in transit to our next destination

Tom Saunders
For KOA Journey Holbrook: If you like 24/7 interstate hwy traffic noise and almost hourly train whistles less than a mile away then this is the place to stay. Management warm and friendly with tasty chuck-wagon-like breakfasts and dinners. Site very tight and all gravel.

Marcia
For KOA Journey Holbrook: There aren't many places to camp around Holbrook, so this is probably the best bet. It was fine for a quick one night layover. We would stay here again.

Vegas Rich
For KOA Journey Holbrook: I've stayed at this KOA (regular koa camper while on the road) twice and have been happy both times. I travel in a teardrop trailer so the spaces are way more than adequate. Facilities have always been clean and the staff had always been really nice. It's also nice that they sell hot food in the morning and in the evening. Would highly recommend this koa.
