For Cattail Cove State Park: Came in early January 2022. In response to other reviews: yes a lot of snow birds (I am one) and it made for a stay with lots of friendly folks outside talking to each other and walking their dogs. A few families with boats and a few fishermen, too. This place caters mostly to RVers, as the site layout really is not set up for tenting. The sites are close together, a few pull through but mostly back ins. We had our 35 foot fifth wheel, and room for our dually truck to park in front. Most sites seem to be big enough for 30 plus foot rigs, but not necessarily the ones over 40 feet so check your lengths on sites. We had Verizon and ATT signal, and got two out of three satellite tv stations, as some sites have tree issues. Hiking trails are excellent, well marked, maintained. Shoreline is partially accessible, with a swimming beach. Very dog friendly with a fenced dog park and pet walking area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was out working to clean and maintain the place which was immaculate. Cleanest State Park that I have ever been to, for sure. Why four stars? The campsites are small, not much if any privacy at all. Best sites are closer to the beach on the westerly side of the park. We would definitely come again. Despite being tucked in together, it was very quiet. We had no issues with off road vehicles, but i could see why that would be a problem at the right time of year. Lake views from hiking trails along the water are excellent.

For Cattail Cove State Park: I stayed here in my truck camper in site 60 Jan. 29 and 30, 2020. It was 30$ per night which seems about average for Arizona State Parks. It is a small campground in a popular area. It is in a valley with desert like hills on both sides and development is still going on the hill next to the campground. The campground is a circle with 62 campsites inside and a road around. The sites are not right on each other but you are still surrounded by other vehicles at least in my area. The end sites by the lake are the best. Popular at least on my two days with ATVers which created a motor noise environment. The boat ramp next to the nice beach was four lanes which suggests lots of use. Interesting walk around explaining desert plants. Not really a very peaceful place like Fool Hollow SP. Good Verizon with booster and trees not a problem for Dish at my site. Judging by the northern tier license plates seems popular with snow birds. Would not stay here again.

For Cattail Cove State Park: Stayed here Oct 25th-30th 2019. This park is south of the hustle and bustle of Havasu City but the city is still easily driven to if you need to go into town. Park staff and hosts were all extremely friendly and helpful. We had forgot to bring a knife to cut veggies and the park staff in the front office let us borrow one from their kitchen for a couple days. Hosts stayed busy cleaning grounds and doing maintenance constantly. Bathrooms were very well kept and were always clean. Dump station was tidy and has space that you can dump coming into or going out of the park as there are spots on each side. The only negative we could find really was that there was construction going on up the hill above the park. It made the noise from the heavy machinery interrupt the peace and quiet, but overall it wasn’t obnoxious. We will definitely be staying here again!

For Cattail Cove State Park: Everything is well maintained and clean, the views of the canyon from the sites is beautiful and the beach is nice, including the boat launch. They advertise a dog beach and have one, but it is only about 30” wide by about 30” deep and rocky. It’s also at the base of the small hiking trail system. We have Great Danes, so we could wade about 50 feet out with them, but smaller dogs may get knocked around by the wakes very close to shore. Also, they didn’t advertise WiFi, but they don’t have it, nor could we get television signal. There are a few radio stations that make it into the canyon. There is a small gift shop that has trinkets, but no provisions as far as groceries go. They do offer free DVD rental with a modest selection for when it’s just too hot or windy to explore the Arizona desert.

For Cattail Cove State Park: Great time, clean, pretty, easy in and out parking. Fishing the Colorado River and hiking is first class. One drawback was the price ($30 per night) being a little high when no sewer connections available, saying that, the dump station, on the way out, is one of the cleanest and easiest we have ever used. We plan on spending more time here when temps moderate.
