For Patagonia Lake State Park: We were here early Feb 2022. Best restrooms and showers of any AZ state park that we have visited. Good hiking and birdwatching. Lake was to windy to kayak when we were there but we will return and try again.

For Patagonia Lake State Park: 2 very different options here, stay in sites 1-37 which are built into a slope and some are extremely un-level, but quiet and spaced apart. Or stay in one of the other sites which are very level but its basically a big crowded parking lot party. Good hiking, decent beach, and a lot of fishing spots. The road in is winding has some pretty steep grades.

BigMo

For Patagonia Lake State Park: We stayed at the Patagonia Lake State Park. This is a great weekender park. If you are in a large Class A (32ft+), you will have a hard time finding a scenic or private site. We were in site 37, probably the most uneven site in the park. We had to reposition a couple of times and manually level after our leveling system could not. We were still pretty unstable. The park is pretty loud. Lots of music all over. No one drives the speed limit. It is a very steep drive in and of course a steep drive out of the park. However, what made the stay enjoyable for us was the adjacent Sonoita Creek State Natural Area. We took in several scenic and enjoyable hikes through the area. Additionally, the park bathhouse was large, clean, and private. The park staff and volunteers were all helpful and friendly. We stayed here in Jan 2019, in 32ft class A with a TOAD

For Patagonia Lake State Park: Good state park and campground with a visitors center and camp store. Many sites are right on the lake. There are a host of recent improvements to the facilities. Good birding trail at the end of the campground. Most sites level if a bit close together in some areas. Wood at the camp store was $11 but smelled great when burning and was quite dry. We could not get wood purchased nearby (for $6) to burn.

Rasines

For Patagonia Lake State Park: This is my 3 visit in the last 15 years. There have been MANY improvements through the entire campground. Sites have been regraded and have an paved parking for your camper. Park staff and volunteers now live on site and they are very busy cleaning and maintaining the site. Trash pick up was great. No overflowing bins. All sites now have electricity. Bathrooms are very large and well maintained and very clean. Bird walk trails are paved at the top and have many, many benches that each have their own name so you can meet up folks at a certain birding hot spots or feel you are not lost. Upper and lower loops on the birding trail are now well labeled too. Overall, this is a birding Mecca and great place to recharge your inner being. Fairly remote location so the store can provide you with some of the few essentials that you may need.

PamLarry

For Patagonia Lake State Park: Visited Patagonia Lake State Park for four nights this month (December 2018) and giving five stars as the RV spaces nicely spaced with electric and water hookups, the bathrooms are very clean and showers have great water pressure and hot water! Every ranger or staff member we met or talked with was helpful and friendly. The entire park was well maintained and enjoyed the fishing, visitor center, and birds. The only thing that we found unusual compared to the rest of the staff was a grouchy and unfriendly man working in the marina store. Was an excellent place to camp. Paid $27 per night plus $5 online reservation fee. Did NOT have to pay the state park entrance fee with the online reservation. Drove from Chandler down the I-10 which through Tucson some construction going on, then down to Rio Rico. On way home took the 82 to the 83 to the I 10 then the 77 to the 79 up to the I 60 which was faster with less traffic.

Char

For Patagonia Lake State Park: There are definitely some sites much better than others re view & noise. Have a look if you can. East campground is quieter & less dense. Close to a nice hike along the creek. Great bird watching. You can rent a nice variety of boats to tour the lake. Single bar for cell coverage. Knowing more about sites we would camp here again on our 25 ft 5th wheel.
