For Point of Rocks RV Campground: This is a well-run, very popular campground. We tried several times over the last few years to get a reservation, but couldn’t. Got lucky on short notice this week (midApril 2021)! The management was helpful and efficient. The electric, water, and sewer hookups were in good condition. The facilities were well cared for. The store and office were closed due to COVID, but the staff answered the phone. The WIFI and Verizon signals were excellent. If you want satellite signal, be sure to ask for it, some sites had trees and mountains that blocked it. Sites were generally level, some small adjustments required. It was indeed a short walk from the campground to great hiking in an unusual setting. It was easy and affordable to rent a kayak, walk over to the lake, and pick it up/return it at the water’s edge. If you are a birder, there were plenty.
There were some features that some people might not like. The campground was on the side of the mountain and the roads were narrow and steep. Sites were rustic, mostly hard-pack dirt with some rocks. It was very dusty, because people were driving in and out of the campground all day. There was noticeable traffic noise from the highway down the hill. There were lots of trees and while they showed signs of regular trimming, some were in the way. There was partial shade at all sites. Some sites were narrow and some were quite wide. There was no wading, swimming, nor boating at the lake. If you want to fish, use your own kayak, picnic, etc. you will need to drive over with your gear. Hiking and biking were great, however, people have created many side trails. Trails were marked but it was easy to miss the markings, get well off the trail, and get turned around. Lake Watson and the city park there were lovely, but it was a very busy place on the weekend. Lots of people and dogs.

For Point of Rocks RV Campground: We stayed four nights here in March 2021. First visit to Prescott. We enjoyed our stay despite it snowing 3 out of 5 days. The campsite was level and well maintained. We had space 79 which was close to the restrooms. It also made it easier to back into since it was close to the main drive for the upper lot. Watson Lake was a quick and fairly easy hike from the upper lot of the campground. The lake and rock formations are a beautiful sight to see. The upper lot has two trails to hike one at the north end and one at the south. The south trail starts at a large gravel picnic area that we used to let our dog do his thing. There are poop bags at the entrance to the area. The bathrooms were clean and warm. The laundry facilities were also fully functional and clean.
Only a short 5 mile drive to downtown Prescott for historical sites food and shopping. We would stay here again.
The only downside to our stay was the dirt and gravel camp sites that became muddy and icy after the snow and rain.

For Point of Rocks RV Campground: Our site was perfect size for backing in our 36 foot camper. The friendly gentleman greeted us outdoor at the front and our reservation brochure with map and info was posted on an outdoor bulletin board for contactless check in. While there is a bit of toad noise since it’s right off the highway, we found the place quaint and peaceful. There are trees and shrubs that offer a sense of privacy between camp spots. It’s a short hike to Watson Lake. We did not use any facilities, but the campground seemed well maintained. Will stay here again.

For Point of Rocks RV Campground: The sites are very nice, but the sanitation of the showers and restrooms is non existent. Even after we contacted the management our concern especially during the Covid 19 outbreak they believe sweeping is all thats needed. I actually had the pleasure to meet management when he wandered into the laundry room our last day. Thats when he confronted me about the no dog policy concerning my service dog sitting quietly with me. It was then he shared he inspected the restrooms and found them acceptable.
We were camped for a week only trash was emptied daily. After we stated our concern on hygiene during Covid19 they swept and ran water in the showers.
The restrooms are in the worst health safety conditions and lack minimal cleanliness regardless even if we we were not dealing with a pandemic.

For Point of Rocks RV Campground: The first thing we found out was that this park is no longer a member of Good Sam GSC. When we tried to hook up power we had several problems so they moved us to another site. There's a nice trail to a view site and a trail to Williams Lake. The park is close to Prescott and there are a lot of things to do both in and around Prescott. There are lots of trees, good shade, and decent-sized sites.

For Point of Rocks RV Campground: Very dusty here. They need a fresh coating of gravel to tone it down a bit. Close to town so good for that. Also lots of nice trails and hiking to and around the near by lake. The park has a lot going for it, just to bad about the excessive dust. Don't come here if you are sensitive to dust.
