Kevin

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Staff is great, leadership only interested in how much cash comes in. Not enough attention to improving infrastructure. Stayed here 15 months with several out and backs. WiFi is out and base still trying to find a vendor. New washing/drying machines in laundry, $1 each. Snowbirds fill the park December thru April. No reservations, first come, first serve. Use the main gate/craycroft.

Bianca

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Lots of empty spaces when I arrived on a Wednesday night (Mar 2021) with Skoolie (4 window school bus).Filled out one of the late check in paperwork then paid the next day. Lady staff at check in is nice and professional. Even gave me a map of the base. Stayed for 4 nights. Easy bike ride to the PX and Commissary (about 1.1 miles). 30/50 amp. Fresh water and sewer. $24/ night. Use Craycroft gate. Will use this site again when I’m in the Tucson area.

Bud

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Nice military FamCamp, sites are nice, utilities are great, no WiFi the time we were there. A whole list of rules none are enforced to include COVID restrictions. Wearing a mask appears to be only a suggestion, since some of the staff doesn’t even wear masks. Base support is great, Commissary, BX, and Shopette. LPG available on base as well as an on base wash rack for RVs. Will consider staying here again once COVID restrictions are lifted.

Rod

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: At first, very limited on shady sites. Once settled in, we met a lot of great people. Stayed 01 Oct to 01 Dec and the weather was very nice. Had the occasional micro burst of strong winds; be aware and save you awning before they get ripped out. The staff is great!! They accepted packages, called us when they arrived. Be aware, coyotes do run thru the base. Don’t leave your dog out or on a leash unattended. Don’t walk them after dark cause of this too. There are also scorpions and tarantulas but these are expected in this region. We keep our LED under carriage lights on at night to avoid them getting into the rig. We will definitely come back. Great Verizon signal! Campground WiFi was not so great.

ML and Steve

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Stayed here 5 months. Well-managed, friendly staff & campers. WiFi varies; in high-season (winter) Verizon can be weaker, otherwise it’s fine. Clean, landscaped, of course you hear planes but we’re not right next to the runway. Free ‘air shows’ some days as the pilots practice! Use Craycroft Gate with your RV! For part of March & April 2019 - COVID-19 - stopped accepting new campers and kept us very well-informed. Of course, they stopped all the nice activities then, too, as needed. If you’re close to Wilmot Gate, you hear lots of traffic each morning. Closer to Wilmot you also have a nice view of the Boneyard and you can sometimes hear coyotes in the evening. There’s tons to do in and near Tucson and the FamCamp has several activities per week in winter to help you get out to enjoy various activities and sites.

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Well-run park. Great system for getting onto FHU if the park is full. Sites are close together but nice sites. Would stay again for a longer period.

RML850

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Stayed here first 2 weeks in May. No reservations, first come first served, however, the park was only 1/2 full this time year. The sites on the office side of road closed for renovation. Sadly the golf course closed May 1st. No cable. Park Wifi ok but very slow. Both Verizon and ATT 3-4 bars but very poor data, making streaming difficult. GPS tries to bring you into Wilmot gate with huge speed bumps, but park office advises using main gate on Craycroft Rd.

Gary

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: We dry camped for a week. We were going to only stay a few days and ended up extending day of day. This is a place we will come back to. The camp is wonderful, people are friendly the employees are great. Dana is a wonderful and helpful person.

John

For Boneyard Vista RV Park: Great place if you are buddies with the manager. Camp has many desirable features, which is why it’s so popular. Two week wait to get hooked up is unfortunate reality not the fault of a friendly staff. However, it seems that some are treated better than the rest of us. One couple was allowed to pull up next to a building and use the outlet and hydrant even though no spot existed prior. I guess it’s nice to be friends with the manager. I also noticed that several long term campers had the exact same sites as a year ago. Pretty hard to do if the rules are actually followed for everyone. The facility s bringing in enough money to at least supply electricity to the dry campers. Seems like providing cable tv would not be too much to ask, given that it’s pretty common in other military camps. And the WiFi seems to be made to be frustrating, getting kicked off every couple hours or sooner. Fresh ground coffee is nice touch. The ice machine in the lobby is loud, so you have to turn up the volume on the tv if you want to watch.
