For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Very peaceful campground. Central to Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National Park, Route 66, Standin on the Corner in Winslow, AZ, La Posada, Meteor Crater, Walnut Canyon. A little over 2 hours to South Rim. The park itself has some fascinating ruins. Also there is a herd of at least 40 burros and 1 big bull who wandered in and thinks he’s a burro.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: If you enjoy peace and quiet in a desert setting, this is the place. We are in site 12 that is a blacktop paved level pull through . It has 50 amp service with water, fire ring, nice picnic table, and a barbecue. The desert views are spectacular and no where did we see any litter. Park Ranger Jones was very nice and knowledgeable of the park history and what the Winslow area has to offer. We will return!

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Beware, beauty of a campground, BUT no hot water in showers and inoperative lighting in toilets. Huge spiderwebs in showers, missing tiles, mold and just a general appearance of “Don’t Really Give A Careâ€. Trash cans near bathhouse were overflowing and could not accept any more bags.
All that said, it is a lovely setting that captures desert camping in it’s fullest!! We will stay here again, but will be prepared to use our shower and toilet.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Lovely surprise. Very nice, well maintained, quiet, friendly staff, great views. We don’t think there is a bad spot in the whole campground. Nicely spaced and roomy spots. All level. No sewer at site but there is a dump station as you come into Campground. You would think 4 stars with no sewer but this place is a gem. Had to go with 5 stars. We were going to stay 3 and extended it to 6. So much to see and do in the area.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: A few level sites most are fairly level needing some adjusting. Sites are paved with a few sparse deciduous trees. Overall the park is clean and quiet.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Love this campground! The camp sites are paved and extra wide. Plenty of space between sites, very quiet (no generators!)with nice bathrooms and decent showers. I especially liked the walking trail from the campground to the visitor center, Sunset cemetery and beyond. We spent two weeks here waiting for corona virus travel news. With Walmart and Safeway about 10 minutes away, it was the perfect place to stay-at-home.

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: I’m in this campground right now. Very quiet. Lots of space. Paved sites. Bright stars at night. Bathrooms are nice but haven’t used their shower. Cool things to see in the park. Overall a really nice park and campground.
