Four resident bald eagles are visable at all times, along with an amazing American eagle. Fishing, crabbing at your doorstep with a great breakwater, new docks, and easy access boat ramp. All the camping areas are tiered, so everyone has an incredible view of the ocean; cruise ships; sunsets. Large sites, as well as small and tenting sites, 15 and 30amp, full hookups. Close to Alert bay, Telegraph cove, Port McNeill. Amazing facilities, fabulous food for those who don’t want to cook, trailer rentals. Paved road to the resort entrance. A must for any traveller to Vancouver island, and those who are fortunate to call this beautiful island home.

For Alder Bay Resort: Stayed two days and we were not there to fish. The view of the bay with eagles, otters and cruise ships sailing by were incredible. It is close enough to north island that we stayed just because of the ambience.
Has a great food truck and small store. New owners are very friendly. Facility is clean. Gave it the 5 stars because of the ocean view and wildlife. A lot of people use this location for fishing in the summer.
