For Lowes: That I be remissed if I do not take a moment to acknowledge one of your employees, Ms Katie, at the paint department in the Lowes store located at the Skibo Rd, Fayetteville, NC. This Am I visited the store to get a five gallon paint pail. But I needed the paint matched with the color of some left over paint I brought to the store and the information on the lid of the old container. The initial clerk pointed out that lowes no longer carried Olympic paint brand and pointed out to some remaining gallons left. He stated he could not do the matching because some of the information was missing or unreadable from the lid label. He brought me a Valspar brochure that had a colors chart to chose from and we picked up the closest color since he indicated he could not match the color. I asked him what was the warranty on the paint and he replied he did not know as they just got this new brand of pain only two weeks ago. He suggested I contact the manufacturer and inquire. I found his reply to be kind of odd. He proceeded to prepare the paint. When the paint mixing stopped ms Katie pulled it out and showed me the color but there was a significant difference with the one I brought to the store. She noticed my disappointment and she informed me that she could probably match the color. She took the pail back and entered information in a computer and shortly after added tones and placed it in the mixer. When the mixing was completed she took a sample and placed it next to the the original one on the lid i brought to the store. I was extremely pleased that she was able to match the color with impressive precision. This is a true example of costumer recovery in action. She displayed a can do attitude and answer my questions politely and knowledgeable. This is multistar costumer service in the finest traditions. Please promote this young lady. She is rare.
