For Panther Flat Campground: This is a gem. Close to Jeremih Smith Redwood area for day trips, to Crescent City for shopping etc. There are 12 first come sites and the rest reservable. Clean FLUSH toilets, nice pay showers. Lots of large sites with picnic tables and fire pits. It's on the Middle Fork of the Smith River which is beautiful and I hear has good fishing. There are hikes for dogs. Lots of sun available in some sites. Small fee with golden age benefits makes this perfect . No hookups which we don't care about but that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We camped in a 25 ft 5th wheel!
