Hesperia Lake Park

Really doesn't deserve one star, I had no choice. Sandy, dusty sites, water and electric only. NO, I repeat NO dump station. This place is a few miles from town and the TV service is nonexistent. The bathrooms/shower house is absolutely the worse I have ever seen. If I would have had another place to go (it is a holiday weekend) I would be gone.

Homeless in the campground bathrooms. Bathrooms are filthy. Pit toilets would be cleaner. One star is one too many.

This park was an all-around ripoff. The bathrooms were dirtier and more rundown than what you would usually find in a public park and you could not have paid us to use their dirty showers. Then the water spigot at the site leaked really bad, so we had to just fill up the tank and then turn it off so we wouldn't flood our site. There is also no Internet, cable TV or dump station. The primary reason we had stopped at this park was for the fishing, but that too was a huge ripoff. We sat out at the lake for several hours in the evening and never saw a single person catch even one fish. They also charged more than double for everything in the store. To top it off, the people tent camping next to us brought a dog that stayed outside and barked, howled and whined all night. We should have known it was bad when we pulled in and there were only 4 other RVs there. We are not picky people and can usually make the most out of any situation, but we will never be staying at this park again.
