For KQ Ranch RV Resort: Impossible to get through to them; odd hours. “Colorado Adventureâ€? Membership only? Funny how they took our reservation and when I called to verify a site, they THEN tell me you won’t be let in unless you’re a member or “take the tour to become oneâ€.
How about a lot more disclosure BEFORE we plan our trip? How about updating all the website info, review pages, etc? We wasted a lot of time and planning.

For KQ Ranch RV Resort: Found this site randomly, called for a reservation and found out it was a private resort. They offered me a three night stay for free just so long as I sit for an hour and a half and listen to the pitch.
So we booked a Friday - Monday stay. The place is close to Julian and we have visited many times there. So I knew the drive up would have some twits and turns. I pulled a TT with my F150.
Came in Friday afternoon... made a turn into the “resortâ€, the road was roughly paved. The person at the front gate was nice and checked us in. We stayed at site 109. Dirt/gravel roads and the site was gravel. Backed in to the site nestled amongst a group of pines. The site was also close to a set of cabins. I would say this place has an older look as things are a little run down. I am not picky, but labeled as a resort... I expected things to be newer. 30A service, sewer, and water worked just fine. All the sites are level, some more secluded then others.
The KQ Ranch has a family feel. For families I think it works. For a couple, it was just OK.
Now Saturday morning for our scheduled sales pitch. We arrived at the sales office and warmly greeted. The nice gentleman ran us through the whole thing. At the end the prices where north of 11k. Not something I was expecting or interested in. As we left, the warmth of the sales office quickly left. I will leave it at that...
We did remain at the camp sight and enjoyed the rest of our Saturday. The weather turned to rain for Sunday - Monday so we did not get a further chance to learn more about the ranch.
Would I stay again... probably not although to be fair the folks I talked to around the park are return campers and enjoy it. The CRA cost is more than I am willing to pay for a camping membership.
