Nice park close to San Diego attractions. Not as well known as other parks and a bit cheaper. More rustic and some sites need some more leveling, but good enough for the price. Lots of great views from most sites.

We stayed at Lake Jennings Park Campground site #85 for few nights. The $37/night bother us a little bit, but $8 process fee, $1 dog fee start to add up fast. GPS keeps telling us to turn at closed road (32°51'09.1"N 116°53'35.8"W), but should turn left at Harris Rd leading to Lake Jennings Park, then left into Bass Rd and continue for about 1.3 miles to park kiosk. Our site has no shade but the warm morning sun is welcome this time of the year. At night, the town of Lakeside turn into amazing glittering gem with misty fog just outside our window. The bathroom with 2 unisex shower/toilet, and separate men/women toilet short walking distance from our site. Other combo bathrooms can be found at Pike Lane and near playground at Perch Lane. Shower stalls are dated and stains all over the wall, but the hot shower will make you forget all of that. Hard to find Dump station on Trout Lane. Good place to stay to visit various attractions from San Diego and nearby parks and casinos. No WiFi but LTE signal was good. OTA TV has 40+ digital channels. We will look for other campgrounds if passing through this area again.

Great campground with many sites overlooking the large Lake Jennings reservoir or the valleys around San Diego. Sites are nicely spaced apart. Bathrooms and hot showers are clean. Nice staff too. Given the proximity to San Diego, this is a super place as others have indicated.
