For Thunder Valley Casino Parking Lot: There are no signs for the casino coming from the north, but we found it with the map easily. All the signage pointed to the Sanitary Landfill, and you can smell it close by. Overnight parking is in a big lot with other RVs and semis parked and is easy to see across Athens from the casino.
The price is just right. I feel safe here.

For Thunder Valley Casino Parking Lot: This site does what we needed it to. Got a late start from Bay Area heading to Sierras and learned about TVC thru Camp & RV to get some zzzs.
Ample room in lot on opposite side of Athens Rd from casino. Helpful security team directed us. Just look for campers.
Inside casino is a Peets coffee, fast food and sit down restaurants, bar, etc. Mostly slots, some card tables, roulette. Light smoke in casino and there's smoke free slots for those interested.
As far as a place to park your RV: there's not much to look at but a parking lot, but if you need a break while heading to areas north of Sacramento, this is a great option with an attentive security detail.
