For Corvina Beach - Salton Sea State Recreation Area: This is a dry-camp only area. It’s a large dirt parking lot with scattered picnic tables and fire rings. On one side is the highway a d railroad tracks. But, you park with your doors to the west and you have a beautiful close viewing of the Salton Sea, mere feet from your door.
There is a vault toilet and apparently a cold water shower room. There are water spigots but I didn’t test to see if they’re functioning.
$10 a night, $8 for seniors. Decent AT&T signal.
There are no hookups.

For Corvina Beach - Salton Sea State Recreation Area: Stayed here in May 2017. I had been here before (in April) but it was full with an RV group who were kayaking and hiking. On that visit I stayed at an RV resort up the road $$$$ and went back that evening for a great power point presentation on the Salton Sea the RV group put on about the Sea with the Sonny Bono Nature group. It was excellent and enjoyable. I then popped back in for an overnight in May on my way back to AZ from CA. It was during Coachella and I was surprised there were not more people camping there. I did hook up to power and water. Used the dump and did not use any other facilities. When I was there the 1st time - there was a great camp host who I spoke with. It was his last weekend. The second time I was there - the first parking lot was completely closed off with a barricade. I assumed it was closed for vehicles, etc. There was one trailer parked there and I assumed it was the camp host. It is "pet friendly" and I have two dogs. I went out to walk my dogs around (no walking on the beach) so walking is limited to the park unless you want to get up on the main road (which I didn't and wouldn't advise). The camp host had a dog and it started barking at the door and a man came out and started yelling at me. "Don't you see the signs/barricades, this side is closed." I said that I thought it was for vehicles and not that I couldn't walk over there! He was VERY unpleasant. He proceeded to say quite forcefully that it was closed off due to his dog (aggression?). It was quite odd if indeed he is the camp host - which he never said, but I assumed. He did settle down after I remained calm and said that I could walk on the other side - no kidding.......? Whatever. Other than that, it's a parking lot with hookups - a nice location if you need to be there for little $$. The park is clean and the smell is what ever way the wind is blowing. I was in a 25' motorhome with 2 dogs. Would have been 4 stars, but the "host" made it 3.
