For Tapo Canyon County Park: For the price this was not worth it. The location is close to town, but note its namesake: Tapo Canyon. So close to town, but NO CELL SIGNAL on Verizon or ATT. The place was sparse, lots of dirt and not much green. Great place for kids to play. Sand/Gravel mine up the road lead to a lot of road noise. I would probably not stay here again.

For Tapo Canyon County Park: Clean and quiet, level sites, 15 minutes drive to town. Good overnight or short stay for travelers. Site 6 is peculiar as your door opens to your neighbors door only about 10 feet away.

For Tapo Canyon County Park: We stayed last week and had a blast with our four kids. The park was impeccably clean and had the sweetest camp hosts we have ever met! Very quiet park with playground, grassy area, and and archery range that is open to the public on Saturdays, including equipment. We will definitely come again.

For Tapo Canyon County Park: Great spot for an overnighter, especially if you want to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum. Very small & basic. No wifi or cable, spotty cell service, & not much to do, so definitely a short-term destination. Clean & pretty, with level sites among trees. Friendly on-site staff. We stayed in our 27' Class C in mid-February.

For Tapo Canyon County Park: Quiet, cement pads with hookups for $33, clean, host, provides doggy bags. Park with playground but doesn't allow dogs in park

For Tapo Canyon County Park: Here's the most important thing to know when looking at Ventura County Parks: their anti-vagrancy policy means that if you stay in one Ventura County park, you have to wait 7 days before you can stay in another. So, say you go to this park, Tapo, on a Thursday. That's all you're gonna get because it's reserved for the weekend and then some. But because you have stayed one night in this system, you can't then go to the beach parks or the Ojai parks or any other Ventura Parks. Pretty dumb, right?
The good: nice--SUPER NICE-- hosts, adjacent archery range, kinda quiet.
The bad: coin showers that rip you off, so many dogs (thus smell of dog doo doo). The Ventura system.
