For Crab Flats Campground: Campground is great. Wild with off roaders on the weekend, but we were completely alone early during the week. There is a pretty deep water crossing that most standard cars will not be able to make it through, probably about 2' deep currently in July. It's off the beaten path, and a ways away from Big Bear City. "Middle of nowhere", if you will. Just our style. No stores 'right around the corner' or camp host either. If you plan on jeeping, ending the day with Holcomb Creek Trail is perfect, as the exit is somewhat close to the campground. If you end with John Bull or the other eastern trails, you've got at least about 40-60 min on 3N16 to get back to camp. Space 27 is the best spot and view, but the whole space is slightly sloped. If you can deal with that, get space 27. Otherwise, IMO, space 26 and 28 would be my next choice. Happy campers!
