For Campground by the Lake: This is a City ran RV Park and feels like a state park. We stayed in a site accross the road from Lake Tahoe. There were electric 30/50 amp in our loop with shared water hookup (bring a splitter), no sewer but there is a double sided dump station. The park is set among fully matured pine trees. The park is within walking distance to several restaurants, the lake and water activities. Price was good for this area at $60.28 a night. sites are on the dirt (dusty) No Wifi, no cable. We would stay again.

For Campground by the Lake: Beautiful place large camp spots. During COVID Restrooms and Showers are closed. You must be self contained. Lots of road noise especially on weekends and holidays. Clean and well kept great service. Close to casino’s and restaurants and shopping. Lake is right across the street on the north end.

Glynis

For Campground by the Lake: We did not make reservations. When we arrived it was cash only with a $10 convenience fee. Bathrooms are disgusting. Hopefully it’s early in the season and they can clean them up.

For Campground by the Lake: Great park. Mostly dry camping, but there are 30 Amp sites too. Lots and lots of shade. Very comfortable outside, even in August. Shower houses were not clean at all, but there were a lot of people using them. Power and water at the site worked fine. Nice area across the street for lake views. We'd stay again even if we had to dry camp.

For Campground by the Lake: Can I give it 6 stars?
This is a City owned.and operated camp. Everything works, pavement is smooth. Camp sites are Hugh and well defined.
Camp hosts were super friendly and knowledgeable. Rules are enforced so the park is quiet.
I did not use the restroom or showers but they were all clean.
Make reservations. I did not and was only able to stay 2 nights.
I will stay here when I return to Tahoe
I recommend the Tahoe Taste boat tour.

Drew

For Campground by the Lake: We stayed in early June for 2 weeks. The campground is right off the main road into town, right across from the lake. So there is a lot of traffic noise if you want a nice view of the lake. The showers were hot and free, not the cleanest. It's a city park. Most of the RV sites in loop A and B are quite spacious. The Lakeview Commons are right across the street. This is a perfect little park to BBQ, they have lots of picnic tables and grills all along the lake. Lots of local kids doing slack line and having fun. We walked over for the sunset every night. Quintessential lake vibes at the Commons. This campground is centrally located, and we would stay here again.

Kris

For Campground by the Lake: Great campsite right across from the lake. There is a lot of traffic noise, the closer you are to the lake the noisier it gets, as the main road into town cuts right between the campground and the lake. The showers are nice a hot, good pressure and free. Lots of trees. The sites are good sized for California. Each RV site appears to have a picnic bench, fire ring and a BBQ.
