For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Stopped for one night on our way from Central Valley to Las Vegasso we could visit Calico ghost town about 4 miles up the road. It’s just about what you would expect in the desert except there were plenty of shade trees which were a nice surprise. We had considered staying at the Calico Rv park and I’m glad we didn’t. That would have been like parking in the middle of a desert. This place was very clean and my only complaints are no dog poop bags and the WiFi was there but wouldn’t let you log on. There was also a lot of road noise at night from the highway but you have to expect that from the location. Overall a good place to stop for an overnighter.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Very expensive for what you get which is nothing. Park was clean. They state on web site WiFi yet at check in when I ask about it women at desk augured that I stated I did not want it which was not true. The shower was one that you had to pay for and was timed. Not happy but ok to stay for one night since right off free way

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: I accepted this as an expensive place to stay and while it was clean and folks were friendly, they have pay extra to take a shower. I find this annoying. I wasn't informed when arriving nor given a coin for the first shower, which is the practice of other places using coin operated showers. Not staying here again. ? ?? ?? ?

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Just a real nice facility. Friendly staff; well maintained; level gravel sites with working accessible hookups, sufficient room between sites. Stayed overnight. Not much going on in the area.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: This was a great campground. Lots of cool things like hammocks, safari tents, nice pool, relatively inexpensive laundry. Just a nice place to stay. We'd definitely stay here again.

Grateful
For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Oasis in the middle of the desert! This campground has very tall mature trees which provide shade and privacy, a pool, 2 airconditioned clubhouses/playrooms, a giant jump pad, a nice playground with swings, slides, an old train (non functioning but still fun to play on), playhouses and rock climbing walls. Clean bathrooms, a general store, a gift shop, and friendly staff. Very family oriented, it was the perfect stop for us while passing through the hot desert.

For KOA Holiday Barstow Calico: Cleanest KOA I have ever seen.
I'm not a big KOA fan however I pulled into here and was very surprised. Extremely clean showers, restrooms and laundry was the best I have EVER seen in any campground.
Pull throughs were wide long and VERY well maintained.. BBQ grills looked almost new.. Sites were private by natural bushes/ trees in between.
Pool looked great but I didn't see in the pool area except from the office.. This koa is really a great stop
