For Durango North Riverside: One of the nicest parks we have stayed in. We were backed up to the river, which we absolutely loved. We came late in the season (Oct21-Nov1) it was quiet with a lot of room to stretch out and enjoy our stay. We stayed 11 days and would have liked to stay even longer. Just out side of Durango and about 39 miles from Silverton. So many things to do and see. We look forward to coming back in the near future. Staff was amazing and very helpful.

For Durango North Riverside: Great campground just outside of Durango and love being here. Close enough to do the things you want in Durango or Purgatory and just a short drive to Silverton and Mesa Verde. Very well maintained, heated swimming pool, playground, and a game room too. Nice spaces to park, we had one of the big pull through sites. Amazing WiFi connection throughout the campground. Extremely friendly staff, very attentive to our needs. Our in-laws stayed in a cabin and loved it as well. Two thumbs up, would definitely stay here again.

For Durango North Riverside: We enjoyed a 2-day stay at Durango Riverside. The best part? We booked a site that backed up to the river so we were able to enjoy the sounds of the river’s currents. Our campsite was clean and for the most part we had good cell and WiFi reception. We would camp here again!

For Durango North Riverside: This was our 2nd time staying in this park. Stayed 2 weeks. The park just sold and is no longer a KOA. Camp helpers were very helpful and friendly. We had a river side site, which was tight but the view was worth the neighbors being so close. Our only complaint was that the cell service and WiFi both were bad during the day, ok early and late but mostly non existent during the day. We’ll be back.

For Durango North Riverside: Worst camp site ever.
They gave us the smallest possible camp site that we could fit in.
Barley could get our bump outs extended. Barley could fit our car in front. No room for our chars to sit out and what little room there was was covered with old campfire ashes. We could not get in and out of our RV without getting ashes on our shoes and dogs paws. Our picnic table had to sit under one bump out and was ~3 feet from neighbor’s sewer hose.
We asked to be moved but they said they were reserved, which is BS since KOA does not pre-reserve specific site #. There we several much nicer open sites around us all week in the same $ class. Staff showed no interest in helping resolve our issues. This will affect our opinion on all KOAs and in the future we will only use them for one night fly buys.
It appears they have many nice sites… but I can only review on the site we got.

For Durango North Riverside: We loved this campground....backed our Motorhome right up to the river and stayed for 2 weeks....nice table and fire ring too. Out spot was pretty level ( hate spots that require our wheels to be off the ground to get level). We enjoyed walking the park and meeting people and did many day trips out of here to ride ATV’s in Silverton, a day of fly fishing, drove over to Mesa Verde, just to name a few. We will be back.

For Durango North Riverside: We may have gotten the presidential space, backed right up to the Animas River with mature shade trees a small patio and fire ring. We enjoyed the moonlight on the river and rolling sounds lulled us to sleep. Bathrooms were clean and the entire KOA was very clean and well cared for. We were travel across the country during the pandemic and they still were able to accommodate young children, heated pool, pizza and ice cream shop on site! Lovely bike rides through the whole site and bubbling hot springs just down the road. Durango was close enough but also far enough to get you into the mountain and enjoy the natural surroundings! A little pricey compared to some other options in the area, but was happy to pay for the spot we had!
