For Westerly RV Park: Hosts were extremely nice. Camp was clean, but was over priced for what you get. No showers, no bathrooms, no cable WiFi sucked, but we were able to get TV with our antenna.. Doubt if I’d if I’d stay here again they place a lot of value on their dirt and none on amenities.

Laura

For Westerly RV Park: Agree with other reviews, Brian and Katie are wonderful. We stayed five days in September 2019, mid month. Weather was good. The park is small, two washers/dryers (expensive but not for this area), did not use hot springs across the way, it is undergoing some needed renovations. Cell via Verizon worked well. We had a corner back in spot that backed up to 550. Road noise was not too bad, at night it was just about non existent. The Narrow Gauge RR however, does go right by this area, you can see the coal burning steam train go by and hear the tooting of the horn, it is quite loud but I thought it was fun. Limited to about 3 trains am and pm, did not disturb sleep because of the times. This campground is out side of Durango to the north, lots of things to do here, wish we had stayed longer. Durango is a cool place and we will come back. A new RV park near the Dalton Golf Course, across the street is proposed by the same owner. If approved there will be more RV spaces in this area, and that is good as Durango area has a short supply.

Lynn

For Westerly RV Park: Small quiet camp with hot springs across county road. Wonderful host Bob is retiring. Great new hosts Katy and Brian very friendly, helpful, resourceful. Brian is Mr Fix It if you’re in need. Campers are friendly but everyone stays to themselves and privacy is respected. Love this camp. Highly recommend. We came for 2 weeks but stayed 2 months. Class A.

Mark

For Westerly RV Park: I give it a five star because of its character. Wonderful old guy runs the place. Good price for full hookups. There is laundry but no bathhouse or shower. Really. None. It’s located right next to a highway. On the other side is a county road. If you want seclusion, this isn’t it! However, the place is charming. There’s a very nice hot springs across the street. You get a discount. If you want a nice hike, the proprietor might let you in on a secret trail. Durango is 8 miles away. For those who like to bike, there is an awesome road ride from the camp. Very scenic. Little traffic. Respectful drivers. We stayed three nights and loved it.

Frank

For Westerly RV Park: Ended up here by an act of fate. Alpen Rose totally screwed up our reservation, then acted like we where out of line for our dismay and ask us to leave.Little man on duty at Alpen Rose has issues. Stayed for a week at Westerly and enjoyed it very much. Big sites clean orderly and Bob the manager was always available and helpful.
