For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: Nice campground. RV, tent sites and cabins. 20 feet between RV sites, some have shade, most do not. RV sites are gravel and fairly level with room for towed vehicle. Tent sites are NOT level or well drained . Bathrooms and showers were clean, staff helpful and friendly. Pool and nice playground. Nice campground for families.

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: Great site as a base camp for activities in Rocky Mountain National Park. One mile from the entrance. Gorgeous views!! Sites were fairly level and all gravel. Very dusty during our stay, but that is to be expected. They advertise WiFi but that’s a joke. Even cell reception is hit or miss, but your in the Rocky Mountains. Staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay there again.

Nalt

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: The space was level and gravel. Awesome view of the Rockies. The two gentlemen that directed us to our space were quite friendly and helpful. Now the woman in the office could take some charm lessons. We were told that we would have to wait until 1 pm to check in at 12:40 or pay $ 25. We opted to wait. It was the manner of her speech that was about off. The aforementioned gentlemen contradicted that and we were allowed to park. Thank you. gracious guys. We would recommend staying there.

Zephyr

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: Park is dusty, sites are too narrow, and worst of all sites are not level. Only positive comment, park is very close to entry point of RMNP.

Denise

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: The park is close to RMNP entrance which is nice but the sites are not level and difficult to back in. We have a 43' 5th wheel and our site was no where near level. I watched a shorter 5th wheel have issues backing in because the roads aren't very wide and your truck has to go uphill while trying to back in. It's also dusty in the park. Has great views of the mountains and easy access to RMNP but next time I would request a better site that is level but the entire campground is built on the mountain so not sure many sites are level. Wi-fi had issues and kept dropping.

Fran

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: We had stayed here before in a fifth-wheel, so didn't hesitate to stay here again. However, we now have a truck camper and after we hooked up we were told that we couldn't unattached and drive our truck off. I now understand that because of the occasional high wind gusts, it's too dangerous. But I made the reservation over the phone and we weren't told about that. We wouldn't have stayed here had we known. Then, they were strict with their rules. Had we rented a car we would have had to pay $5 a day. My daughter had to drive up from Boulder and they would have charged her the same to Park here. We had to close up and drove the whole shebang to Boulder for the day. What a pain. As far as the campgrounds, they could have done more with trees etc, but the setting is so gorgeous you don't care.
