For Ross Hill Park: Location good for tourism (Mystic, New London, Old Sturbridge), but not well set up for short stays. Sites mostly seasonal, the few open for short stays are very unlevel, hookups not conveniently located, grass, no gravel or pavement, sites close together and not well delineated. Internal roads full of large potholes, unpacking trailer contents before we even got into site. Parallel parking along edges of open field, with slope and small room making positioning of RV quite difficult between seasonal units. Required $10 deposit for gate key, which we returned upon leaving, but because office opens very late, no credit given against site charge. There are other campgrounds in the area.
