For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: Camptel leased Sunset Isle for a year and now they are gone. The property is back as an RV park under the Sunset Isle name with renovations and much needed site improvements planned this summer. The 22/23 season should have improved sites and hookups. It's all about location! This is a great place to camp with friendly staff and great Sunset views! Waterfront sites are currently $60 and others are $40. FHU's with cable make it a steal in my opinion. The link is all the web presence they have until the renovations are done. If you are expecting a resort property, this is not it. It is more old Florida fishing village vibe with lots of trees and gravel roads and grass on some sites. I booked a week but loved Cedar Key so much, I extended for a 2nd week!

For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: New owners in 2019. New name is Camptel resort. Friends who have been coming for years will not come back. Tiny houses with no window to the view are being placed on waterfront sites and more. No more music, bonfires, potlucks. The day I arrived, owners ordered all bathroom doors removed and replaced. No doors for a good 8 hrs. I’ll give it 2 stars for location, and nice managers, but will not be back.

For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: Quaint, rustic old-Florida feel campground. Sites are very tight but one can kayak & see dolphins right from campground. Managers are accommodating & activities director does excellent job organizing trips, crafts, hotdog nite, weekly breakfast, & Friday potlucks. Amazingly friendly community of repeat customers so good idea to book early. Good restaurants and small grocery in downtown area 1 mile away. Sunsets each nite at campground are spectacular.

For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: Please ignore the tirade posted by someone else.
This is a small, quaint campground. People are very nice. Showers are good. It has a retro feel and it is pleasant. Would stay again

Ellrod
For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: This place was the ABSOLUTE POOREST RV Park in all of FL that I stayed in 2017. It is hyped as an "Old Florida Fish Camp". "A Place that time forgot...!" Time has NOT been kind to this place! Don't be fooled!! It is a worn old wreck of an operation with a mixed up mess of poorly maintained buildings and with no discernible lots. The roads are NOT paved and the sites are JUST a sandy messy turnoff! EVERYTHING is in a state of disrepair! SHABBY is the best word to describe it! Their layout is poor with as many RV spots as they could jam into the available space. Words escape me as to try to get a handle on this god forsaken place! Do not... DO NOT STAY HERE! You will be sorely disappointed here and you will wondered how you ever paid to use this RV Park! I wouldn't go back if it was FREE! Save your money and move on down the road ..FAST! There are other parks( even nearby) which are a BETTER choice! My last words of warning..No NO NO! ABSOLUTELY NO!

For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: Okay place that is close to the main part of Cedar Key. When we stayed there in November 2016 they were still doing some repairs from Hurricane Hermine that hit in September 2016, with what looked like all new power pedestals and they were in the midst of completely redoing the clubhouse. The sites are really close together, but we were there during the week, so it was not full and the campground was peaceful and quiet. We did not get a chance to try their little cafe onsite. We will stay there again.

For Camptel Resort Cedar Key: Not sure what all the hype is? Spaces were very close together. No room to sit in front of rv once our neighbors showed up and extended slides. Parked on Sandy grassy patch that was not level. 50$ a night seems high for what you get.
