We have been going here for 9yrs. It’s an excellent park and improving everyday. Well managed and maintained. The office staff as well as the park support staff could not be more professional. Cons: In general it’s an old airstream park where the average age is 75-85 yr old residents. If there are any cons it would be some of the residents. They can be rude and it seems that they don’t have anything to do but scrutinize others and complain. Some like to play traffic control by deliberately driving rediculously slow to slow you down if they feel you are driving too fast. This happens in the park and even on Johnston Rd which is not part of the park property. Also pet owners are often treated like second class citizens. Some complain if your dog happens to relieve themselves in front of their lot even if you are pickings up after your pet. I’ve personally experience a resident stoping her car while my dog was pooping to ask me if I was going to pick that up. There are some residents that have not only been living here 15-20 years and are often well into their mid 80’s or 90’s and would like to think they somehow have authority over those who have not been here as long as them. FYI, they don’t allow retractable leashes here. I found that out the first day that I visited the park.

This was a visit during the Christmas holidays to visit relatives in the Tampa area. Unfortunately our schedule did not allow us to utilize all the wonderful amenities of Travelers Rest. We are new RV owners with about 10 trips in the last 6 months and this is the best park we have visited. The park was immaculately maintained. The bathrooms are always so clean. There is a heated pool and jacuzzi. Dumpsters for trash are easily accessible from the Golf View camping area. I would ask for a site with a concrete pad if available, they frown upon mats or area rugs on the grass. The residents and staff were so friendly and genuinely appreciated you visiting. A little remote from things but easily accessible to I-75 where you can get to good restaurants and shops within 30 minutes. We will definitely return for a longer visit.

Arrived late last night, self check-in was available! We were going to say at a few other Florida sites just a few minutes north, but after stopping at those (dirty and awful sites), we hit the road a few more miles south.

This place is amazing!!!! Let me first say, the bathrooms are straight out of a 5 star hotel (immaculate, modern, incredible).

A VERY nice pool area and hot tub.

SITES: I haven't had time to explore, but I think all the over night sites are in the 'golf view' area. It's basically camping on a golf corse with power/water/sewer. Not your traditional camp site with fire ring, but very clean and perfect for a few days!

Stopped here for a one nighter. They put me in a field; fhu. Sites was on grass, not defined and was not level. No shade. Expect traffic thru your site if you have and end one. No picnic table. Nice bathroom but they are cleaned from 6:30 am -8am. Who does that when you want to use them in the morning? One bathhouse, 3 stalls 2 showers for 600 sites for men. Thus you need to be self contained to camp here. The people and pool were nice. Golf and tennis also. In sum, the sites are terrible while while facilities are better than average.

This park is a gem, found by accident 7 years ago and have enjoyed the friendly residents and the 100+ activities offered. If you want to learn a new skill or just enjoy the one you have, this is just the place.

We travel in an Airstream Trailer and stopped to check it out and have been here every winter for the last 9 years. So many wonderful activities that one has to make choices of which one to participate in. Great Golf Course, Top Notch Entertainment. First Responders. Pool.
