For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: It’s very nice and peaceful. Spacious spots with about 20 right on the water. See requirements for visiting.

For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: If you’re looking for a Disney style RV park, keep driving! This is a great place to camp, view launches and use as a hub for sightseeing. We checked in on a rainy day and the water front site we were in was puddle free. It raw as rainy for the next two days and there still were no puddles. We were here for the Crew2 launch and it was grand. Can’t wait to go back.

For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: We just spent two weeks here and really enjoyed our stay. At first we didn’t think we wanted a water site as we have two Labrador retrievers. But as we were looking for sites along the back, 3 different campers warned us a big snake along the back and to be careful with our dogs. A few water sites were available so we decided to try the water. So very glad we did! It was absolutely beautiful. And our labs were not tempted by the water at all as there is a rock barrier that separates the water from the campsite. We saw several magnificent sunrises. We also saw a launch right from our campsite. There are 20 water front sites, and there is a 2 week stay limit on the water. The laundry room also housed a big TV with several chairs to relax while doing laundry. Also there was a billiard table and a table tennis table. A puzzle was out on the table for anyone to try there hand at as well. There were two washers and two dryers. A bathroom was also in the building. There were two showers in the bath house. And it was very clean. It was a little strange only that the toilets were in a different door from the showers. So you had to go to the bathroom, go out the door , around the building to the showers. Not a big deal, but different. The campsites are all grass and no concrete or gravel. We didn’t get a lot of rain so I’m not sure how bad it would get after several days of rain. But we had no issues. Everyone we talked to in the store or at the gate was extremely nice and helpful. Had a great time and will definitely be back.

For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: Great place. Quite, secluded, Along River. Would definitely come back. Staff great.
New policy is 28 days camping only then have to leave for 28 days before coming back - makes it fair for others to stay here. They have had some long term campers for a year or longer and are enforcing the 28 days rule for others to enjoy this location.

For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: I really love this Park. Staff is great. Price is great. I would stay again and will when we're back this way. have one major concern though. People who stay here and visit drive way too fast. Kids, people walking their pets are in danger. Although there are speed bumps, they are widely separated. The drivers race from speed bump to speed bump, even those who are pulling an RV I believe the management is partly at fault. The posted speed limit is 15mph, when it should be 5 or 7mph. Safeguard ur kids and pets.

For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: This was the best experience we have ever had. The store clerk was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Beautiful park overlooking the banana river. Camp sites are $15 or $20. First come first served. You do need to have a membership $20 per year. For the membership, we asked about Vietnam vets. We have friends that aren't retired, but are disabled. The store clerk was very helpful and let us know that we qualified with our retired military badge, so with that we could get a guest card for our friends. She was very well informed and the experience was very pleasant. We will be back!

For Kars Park - NASA Exchange: I called the store to make a reservation for the campground. The lady on the phone was pleasant to speak with but I think she's not got her facts correct. She asked if I had a KARS membership and I told her I would get one when I arrived there later next week. She asked if I was a NASA employee or contractor. I said I was US Army Retired. She then ask if I served 20 years. I told her I was retired due to a service connected injury that I suffered while on active duty. That I am 80% service connected disabled. She then said that I wasn't eligible to be a KARS member in that case because I would have had to have served 20 years in which to be retired. I told her I have a Military ID card that says I'm retired. She said that was still not good enough that I'd have to had served 20 years regardless. She appreciated my service she said, but that's the rule. I informed her that I also am Civil Service Retired with 32 years combined federal service. That I have a CAC badge as well. She then asked if I'd gotten it at Patrick AFB. I asked, where does it matter where I got it at? She said I'd had to have been a local employee at Patrick AFB or Kennedy Space Center and to have my CAC badge say Patrick AFB or KSC. I told her that I had previously camped at the KARS campground in Huntsville at One Tranquility Base and I had all the credentials that allowed me to stay there. She insisted though that I still wasn't eligible to stay at the KSC KARS campground. I just hung up the phone. I wasn't going to debate it with her.
