For Winterset RV Resort: The park was mostly snowbirds. A very friendly group that usually return each year. The main part of the park is very organized with the parallel streets, the section of the park where we camped was a small loop that was very close together and some what disorganized. Our section did not have sewer at each site, but it still had a lot of snowbirds that would drive to dump or use their Blueboys for sewer. We felt very welcome even though we only stayed a few nights. We had our air conditioner on so road noise wasn't a problem for us. The loop we stayed on did have a lot of large trees to give us shade. It should have also blocked our satellite signal, but somehow our automatic dish did pick up a one satellite signal out of three. I wouldn't plan on it and even my 50 foot cord wouldn't find a clear shot of the sky.

Don't plan on getting reservations on the weekend. The office is closed on weekends. They do have a board to show empty sites but I'm not sure they keep it up to date when the office is closed and I could find a drop box to pay.

I gave it a four star due to friendliness and the facilities of the main section of the park and not for my crowded loop.

For Winterset RV Resort: Nice people. There is some road noise and a frequent train horn.
