For Big Lagoon State Park: Great state park in a perfect location. Boat launch in the park offers easy access to the bay and beyond. Especially good for modest sized rigs and folks who don’t need anything fancy. Our back in space was fairly private and raked nicely when we pulled in. Electric, water, fire pit, and clothesline. No sewer but the dump was handy on the way out. Showers were spotless. The park has some damage (Feb 2021) from the latest hurricane but it looks like they are working to get the trails and other areas open before summer. A nice, laid back place to spend a week in the winter.

For Big Lagoon State Park: We stayed in Site 28 (30 ft Airstream), which is fairly private, but everyone leaving the campground has to pass this site! It’s convenient to the boardwalk and our dog was allowed on those trails (technically closed for repairs from the hurricane)! We would stay again!

For Big Lagoon State Park: Older park that needs updated. Only 30amp electric and water... no sewer/ sand shell pads. Roads within the park have pot holes. Fair stay in the winter months. Price ok ... traveled in a Motorhome towing a car

For Big Lagoon State Park: We stayed for one week in February. The park seems a little run down, especially roads. They needed patching in quite a few spots and when it rained the potholes grew. Our site was rated for a 35' RV and we had a really hard time getting our 33' in as the site was very narrow and the fire ring made it even narrower. The clotheslines were all crooked and narrow, enough room for a towel. They did a controlled burn just before we got there so everything was black and not much green. If you like to camp in a rustic park, this is the one for you.

For Big Lagoon State Park: We (2 adults) stayed here a week in December 2016 (Christmas). We really loved this park/campground. Friendly staff, lots of great hiking, sand, fairly private spots with lots of shade, and convenient dump station to our site. Well kept, safe-feeling park. The price was reasonable. No wifi, but our cell service was good (both AT&T and Verizon).
We gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because it didn't have full hookups.
We will definitely camp there again.

For Big Lagoon State Park: We've stayed here quite often. The park is nice, with plenty to do. The camping area is ok. The road is very narrow and people tend to park right along the road. This makes it very difficult to maneuver during peak camping times of the year. All sites are back in and most are narrow with straight back-ins.
We needed to ask the people across from us to move their car, just so we could get into our site. If you have a large trailer or motor coach, you may have to run an obstacle course to make it through.
The rest of the park is wonderful.
