For Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: We will be leaving tomorrow after 10 days. This is the first park that we wanted to stay longer. I will add 5 stars to the already long list. Staff is great, coffee shop is so nice, beach is spectacular, sites are great. We are in site 30 which is great for our 25’ tag-along. Sites 72-90 look really nice. We will try for them next time because we will be back.

For Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: I have to back up the other positive reviews. This place was great! Spacious sites (most with concrete pads) with vegetation between to make each site you private place. Access to the white sand beach by bike or tram. Miles of hiking trails and paved 19 mile bike path along Route 30a just outside the park gate. This is a definite come backer for us.

For Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: Beautiful state park. We will definitely be back. We stayed on site 162 in 34’ 5th wheel with F-350 long bed tow vehicle (54’ combined length) and the campsite was plenty long to accommodate. Plenty of vegetation between sites except for those up near the front of the campground. We didn’t use the bath houses but did look in them and they seemed clean and well kept. There is a centrally located laundry that had 10 washers and dryers that cost $1.50. I saw a negative review regarding pets - we walked our dog all through the campground and on bike paths and hiking trails - this is all allowed per rules. What is not allowed is taking pets on beach or the beach access boardwalk. We did leave our pet in our camper as we have a pet monitor. Campers with pets shouldn’t worry.

For Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: Very well kept large campground. Some loops have more privacy than others. Trails are well marked and the beach is quiet. Bathrooms are clean for the amount of people they have to accommodate. Shopping is close by. We would come here again and look for a site in the 100 loop.

For Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: The beach and the beauty of the area make this campground. Very well kept sites and the majority of them are rather private. WiFi is only in one area, but worked very well and cable worked well also. Didn’t use the bathhouse to shower, but they appeared to be well kept and clean. We are planning to visit here again soon. I also recommend a restaurant right outside the campground called “The Doughnut Holeâ€

For Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: Checking in ranger not very nice. Our site was private on one side. Not the side our picnic table and walk out door was on. If you have a dog I would stay somewhere else and will if I’m ever in the area again. Dogs 6’ leash or less, typical. Dogs are allowed on your site and a walking trail ONLY! And you can’t leave your dog in your RV for more than 30 minutes unattended. So, have fun at the beach! Oh, the B.A.R.K pamphlet they give you says to make sure to take a pic of you and your dog together of the fun your having. 🤯 if your a good human your dog can have a treat on your way out if you stop at the ranger station. Thanks, I have treats for my loved four legged family member.
