For Otter Springs Resort Inc: No frills RV park in nature, full hookups. We stayed Jan 2020 to May 2020 (didn’t intend to stay that long but...coronavirus). We really liked our site and the long timers are friendly. We had stayed before in 2019 for a week and had a good experience then as well. We enjoyed walking the roads/trails and seeing all the animal tracks in the sand. Roads are sand and sometimes need some attention but they regularly work on them.

For Otter Springs Resort Inc: after a tiring day in hot humid sun, decided to splurge on a swannee river campground under the shady oaks. Our only request was a quiet, shady spot to recuperate. Lay down for a nice afternoon nap and awakened to oven-like heat radiating down on me like an oven set on broil. AC could make little headway! Got up and took a walk around the campsite. It appears my request got me the best location in north florida to get a blistering sun burn. Not one square inch of my camper was out of the sun!
Hardly worth the effort of moving now. Just stay inside til the sun goes down. Won't return. Next time i'll boondock at walmart and get more shade.

For Otter Springs Resort Inc: RV newbies and we arrived after hours: we easily found our site, pulling in to it in a way to be considerate of potential neighbors was a little confusing, but hey, we’re new at this. The roads and sites are mostly sand. The River was flooded, so the springs were too, but we walked the neighboring trails which was a great walk with our two large dogs. We didn’t use the bathing facilities or pool, but really enjoyed our visit, very quiet and relaxing! We will definitely be back and hopefully for longer.

For Otter Springs Resort Inc: Very friendly campground. Takes big rigs with lots of pull through sites. Screened pool. The spring is lovely and has a great shallow area with walk In Access perfect for smaller children. Volleyball court, basket ball hoop and shuffleboard available. Sites are large/wide. My rig was 35 foot and fit well.

For Otter Springs Resort Inc: First comment is this is no longer a county park.
Enjoyed the trees throughout the park, The swimming pool is great and covered and screened. Water temperature was great for swimming.
Shower area was ok but not new. The park is pretty much built on sand. So the roads and campsites are pretty much sand with little grass between sites. This is good and bad when you park at a site you have plenty of space and locations to park, but it is not easy to figure out where to park. The office is nice and has a small store. They do have a large community area that was closed when we were here but looks like it could be used for dances or community events.
From looks at some water lines on trees the park probably floods if the Swanee river is flooding.
