For Shoal Creek Campground: Beautiful lakefront and lakeview sites that are generously spaced apart for privacy. I love that this just 30 miles from Atlanta. Nobody gets in your business and try’s to micro manage you here like some campgrounds. This campground is for the folks that like to have a respectful good time without being hassled. Ignore the reviews where folks complain about the noise or people staying up after dark. Life is a celebration! And this is the place for it!

For Shoal Creek Campground: We stayed in spot 3 and it was a beautiful view of the lake and had plenty of room.
It was stressful backing into the spot since the spots have weird angles, trees, posts, steep drop offs on the narrow pad to park on and you have branches rubbing and scratching your rv... but once you got parked it was worth it. We brought our golf cart and it was nice drving through the park on the roads with the large trees making it a canopy. Everyday my kids saw deer up close, about 3-4 sightings every day!
We did wish they had a pool though and a store...

For Shoal Creek Campground: Pretty camping on Lake Lanier. Some sites are narrow with erosion, we had #60 and it was large enough for a 35ft with slide outs. Not all sites are flat or easy to maneuver. Bathroom/Shower were clean and had a space heater inside to keep the bathroom warm. Had ants on our site that we sprayed. Our late arrival packet was not left out for us and the office was closed when we got there but we managed to find our way to the site and get setup. I wouldn't recommend arriving at dark if your a first timer. Saw deer everyday. Although associated with Lake Lanier Resort it is not maintained like the resort. Overall nice camping and the family loved it!

For Shoal Creek Campground: We are in a 37' fifth wheel.
We have been on the road for 4 years.
So we have seen a few Rv parks.
This is one of the worst.
If you haven't been here before, or if you are not a very experienced operator, go some place else. A Walmart is a better choice
The interior roads have large pot holes.
The sites are very narrow, unlevel, with steps to the picnic tables that are very steep and absolutely falling apart. Dangerous!
Overhanging branches, very narrow shoulders in the site that makes backing g up a total adventure. Miss and you could roll into the lake!
I guess because there are so few choices around Atlanta they get away with this.
Go someplace else. Anywhere else.

For Shoal Creek Campground: Not big rig friendly. Camped in 40' Class A and had to drive through numerous branches that were not trimmed and large trees leaning over roads. No sewer hookups either. Expensive for what is offered.

For Shoal Creek Campground: Expensive for the quality. Management was not friendly but employees were. Camp sites were difficult to get in and out. Lots of ants and picnic tables were rotting.
